Buyer​

The person who wishes to purchase a file/files.

The InterPlanetary File System. A distributed system for storing and accessing files, websites, applications, and data.

Payee​

A payee is someone who will receive a payment from the Sale contract on behalf of the buyer who wants to purchase a file/files. Examples of payees are the Seller, Promoter and Stakeholders.

Payout​

The action of paying out a share of sale revenue to a wallet address.

Promoter​

An independent party who is supporting the sale of a file/files by sharing a unique URL to their audience or community. They will receive a fixed percentage cut of the sale revenue before the seller and any other stakeholders are paid out.

Seller​

The person who owns and wishes to sell a file/files. They will receive a percentage payout of the revenue per sale. This payout will only occur after a promoter has been paid.

Stakeholder​

An independent party who receives a percentage cut of the revenue per sale. Represented by their wallet's public key. The stakeholder's payout is taken as a share of the remaining revenue after a promoter and the seller have been paid.
